Work on PNB Entry tile

Unfortunately due to bad weather this weekend I didn’t get as much completed as I had hoped. I was planning on repainting the entry and windows on the first floor but such as life..

I did scrub the front entry tile and brought it back to life. Unfortunately someone had broken some of the tiles removing the green colored ones. Even though it cleaned up nice I am going to bring a tile guy in and repair the broken pieces. Its just too pretty not to fix correctly.

  2. Jason,
Welcome to our town. Only an “outsider” could see the beauty in our historic buildings. Many have the opinion that demolition by neglect is the way to make Waynesburg new again. I love my town and the buildings that remain. I think you may have found a new home. Thanks for giving me some hope that Waynesburg may fly high again. As a child I remember when High street travel both ways and we all stopped at Bryans Dairy Bar for an Ice cream cone and sat in our cars along the street in front of the court house to watch the people go by. Bought my shoes at Inghrams Shoes Store or Brooks Shoe Store and found heated spanish peanuts at the GC Murphy Store. We also had the Long Department Store where we could go to the Furniture department on the balcany level. Yes, only a few years ago High Street in Waynesburg was the happening place to be. God bless you!!!!!

  3. Oh, by the way the tile looks GREAT! Can’t wait to see more.

    • Please bookmark the blog and check back weekly, every Sunday I will update it with pictures and progress to the building, Thanks ! Thanks Karen for the wonderful walk down memory lane, I am scrambling to find old pictures of the downtown. Bill, These elevators will soon be in working condition (not for public use of course). Its a shame to remove them from the building.
